RISQS is the UK Rail Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (alternatively Achilles Link-up) which provide a common registration, qualification and audit process for suppliers working within the UK Rail Industry.
Companies are required to hold RISQS / Link-up certification to enable them to operate within the UK rail industry. In order to work on the UK Railway Infrastructure your company must comply with the RISQS / Link-up audit modules relevant to your scope of supply (contact Rail Assure for further details and guidance in this regard). RISQS / Link-up are the Network Rail approved qualification processes and supplier databases which are then accessed by buyers from Network Rail and over 100 rail organisations.
Achieving RISQS / Link-up Scheme accreditation allows companies to connect with all the major rail companies across the UK and allows them to tender for contracts specific to their abilities.
In order to reach this accreditation, the rail insutry uses the RISQS / Link-up scheme to perform a thorough audit and review of the company and inspects the quality, safety and environmental management systems implemented by the company.
